The KEE System
- Suitable for any boiler/cooker using any fuel: Oil, Gas, Solid Fuel
etc.
Any boiler whether conventional, condensing or located in a cooker
and using any fuel can be used with the KEE system. These produce a source of warm water
to the KEE Heat Exchanger or Thermal Store Cylinder and then by heat exchange to the floor
heating system. This complies with the KEE non-ferrous, non-corrosive policy. The Thermal
Store Cylinder is an ideal way to combine floor heating and mains pressure hot water and
is manufactured from high quality stainless steel (grade 316). The KEE Thermal Store has a
10 year guarantee.
The KEE diagram shows a system using a
standard 225 litre Thermal Store. The cylinder water is heated directly from the boiler.
The cylinder thermostat is set 5 degrees C lower than the boiler thermostat so that the
system is controlled by cylinder thermostat and therefore reducing boiler cycling and
increasing efficiency.
Hot water is provided at 5 GPM at 50 degrees C at 3 bar pressure
(standard thermal store at 70 degrees C cylinder temperature: larger and multiple units
are available) from the top multi coil.
The under floor heating system is supplied from the bottom coil which
is sized to suit the building heat loss.
The Thermal Store Cylinders are insulated with a 40mm unbroken layer
of polyurethane foam encased in a white painted steel finish.
Thermal Stores can be provided with extra connections for additional
heat sources and with additional coils for solar if required. Also they have a much faster
heat up time than unvented cylinders and don't require specialist installation or
